We are reporting a case of the acute intoxication by sodium fluosilicate (Na2SiF6) in a 27-year old patient after using 3-4 teaspoons of the white powder of the Na2SiF6. One and half hour after consuming the powder the patient was admitted to our department, where the organ dysfunction occurred within 6 hours and resulted in death. The dose of poison used by the patient corresponds with the data referred in literature as the lethal dose (Na2SiF6 over 5-10 grams or 70-140 miligrams/kg of body weight orally).
