Průběh nákazy onemocněním „covid-19“ v České republice se podle všech ukazatelů (ke dni 14. 2. 2022) nachází na sestupné trajektorii. Nicméně, bez ohledu na další vývoj lze jednoznačně konstatovat, že polovina funkčního období (2019–2022) stávajícího výboru ČSARIM byla vyplněna problematikou covidu-19. Proto jakýkoliv pohled zpět, jakákoliv analýza uplynulého roku musí zákonitě obsahovat téma „ČSARIM a covid-19“. Komplexní posouzení role našeho oboru, fungování ČSARIM a jejího výboru a práce lékařů či sester naší odborné komunity při zvládání a řízení zejména nemocniční péče ukáží v plném rozsahu až další roky, přesto si dovolím v pozici předsedy výboru ČSARIM již nyní vlastní pohled a využívám podnět vedoucího redaktora časopisu k sepsání textu o směrování ČSARIM v dalších letech.
