Pain management is an essential part of perioperative care in every patient. There is a whole range of analgesics and techniques to accomplish appropriate postoperative pain management with low risk of side effects. Balanced analgesia and procedure-specific analgesia are the recommended methods. Non-opioid analgesics are the pillar stones of postoperative pain management. Their correct application improves the efficacy and safety of analgesic procedures in our clinical practice.
