Vážené kolegyně a vážení kolegové,  začátek roku 2026 nabízí ohlédnutí nejen za rokem 2025, ale i za celým funkčním obdobím výboru ČSIM 2021–2025. Podařilo se nám prosadit jednotný dvouletý vzdělávací program odpovídající mezinárodním standardům, a to i přes populistické snahy o jakousi zkrácenou cestu k atestaci, se kterou bychom se ocitli zcela mimo země s rozvinutými systémy zdravotnictví. Lékaři si nově mohou vybrat, zda kurikulum zakončí českou atestací nebo složením Evropského Diplomu v Intenzivní Medicíně (EDIC). Česko se tak stalo členem klubu EDIC Countries a přijalo za svůj nejen ESICM Cobatrice Syllabus, ale i EDIC jako alternativu k domácí atestaci. Do vzdělávacího programu vstupuje každoročně potřebných 20–30 lékařů, což by mělo odpovídat potřebám země při stávajícím status quo, nikoli však v momentě, kdy začnou plátci péče požadovat odbornou způsobilost pro všechny lékaře pracující na celý úvazek na JIP a ARK....
