Nejčastější problémy u kardiochirurgických a kardiologických pacientů v intenzivní péčiIntensive Care Medicine

Počet pacientů podstupujících operaci srdce trvale roste, postupně se však mění jejich charakteristiky i zastoupení jednotlivých výkonů. Stále jsou nejčastější koronární revaskularizace, jichž se v současnosti ve světě uskuteční ročně přes 800 000, jen v USA asi 500 000. Aortokoronární bypassy s využitím mimotělního oběhu (CABG - Coronary Artery Bypass Graft) se tak řadí k nejčastěji prováděným chirurgickým výkonům vůbec.
